For those of you who do not yet own the awesomeness that is the Wii U, here’s some gameplay footage from the Rayman Legends Demo. It was also an excuse for me to play around with Final Cut Pro X’s MultiCam Features!

Raid the Queen Zenobia with Style!

Queen Zenobia

So, some of you may remember a small little game on the Nintendo 3DS that came out last year called Resident Evil Revelations. From my experience, it was an amazing experience of the Resident Evil world, especially as it was my introduction into the series. However, some people felt that the fact you had to purchase the Circle Pad Pro to easily control the game seemed lame.

Never fear! Capcom have recently announced that a remake of the game will released on home consoles, including the Wii U, which will include 1080p graphics, new BOW types, expansions on Raid Mode and more. It will be released on the 21st, 24th and 25th in North America, Europe and Japan respectively.

However, Japan has a sweet bonus that is sure to satisfy any Resident Evil Fan.

Alas, enough about us writers and more about some news which is guaranteed to make you giddy with excitement. Yesterday, Nintendo aired a brand new Nintendo Direct, which mainly focused on Wii U services and games.

Video Game Music Weekly – 17 – Holiday Special!

VGMW17Welcome to the seventeenth selection of Video Game Music for VGMW!

Video Game Music Weekly is back! The best present you could wish for, I’m sure. And not only that, it’s the first VGMW holiday special! I’ve chosen the best Video Game music, in my opinion, to listen to at this time of year. So sit back, listen to some excellent examples of music for the holiday season, and although some of my choices may be odd, and some may last only 17 seconds, try not to become too angry when you realize your favourite Holiday piece wasn’t selected. Maybe tomorrow?

Check the 5 featured pieces of this week’s very special Video Game Music Weekly after the break!

Back it Up – Godus

Kickstarter is a fantastic and simple way to kick-start a new project. People offer pledges with a certain amount of money (back it up), and if the project gets the target amount of pledges, that money is then taken to fund the project.

Recently, Egnlish video game designer, Peter Molyneux, a very important contributor to the God Game genre with titles such as Populous, has opened up a kickstarter for a neat new game to ‘revive’ the God game genre, Godus.

Rayman Legends – Castle Rock Wii U Hands On

With the Rayman Legends Demo hitting the Wii U eShop tomorrow, we thought to show you a bit more gameplay of one of the demos I was able to play during my holiday in Los Angeles.

While in LA, I was able to drop into a GameStop on the Universal Citywalk to buy some Vita games and to play around with the Wii U Demo Station. Unfortunately there was only one demo available, but I think it made up for it as it was Rayman Legends, one of our favourite games we have a go on during the EuroGamer Expo.

Hopefully, this video should be a lot clearer in comparison to the previous videos as it wasn’t all claustrophobia and you could actually see the faces of the other player/s. In this demo, my brother was playing as Rayman and I was playing as Murphy.

Finally, I apologise for the lack of enthusiasm shown. It was our last day in LA and we were both tired and depressed to leave. Enjoy!

Rayman Legends Release Date Revealed!

Rayman Legends will rock your world from February/March 2013

A long while a go, it was announced that Rayman Legends for Wii U was delayed until Q1 2013, this saddened gamers across the world. There is always a silver lining to put a smile on your face though.

Ubisoft recently announced the official release dates for Rayman Legends for the different territories of the world. On the 26th February 2013, Rayman will start grabbing innocent Lums gleefully in North America, he will then visit the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) from the 28th February 2013, finally, the limbless hero will have a nice cup of tea before slapping baddies from the 1st March 2013. Now, there are a few areas missing from that list, such as Japan and Australia, but I’m sure those dates will be released soon. But, if you can not possibly contain yourselves long enough for the release of Rayman Legends, you’ll be happy to hear that you can download a free demo from the Wii U eShop from the 13th December 2012.

Return of a Dragon… and a Writer! (EU)

The Spyro Classic Trilogy – Charging onto PSN Tuesday!

Guess who’s back? After a couple weeks holiday and a month and a half of starting a job and College, I am now finally back to writing… and it’s couldn’t come at a better time!

Sony has recently announced that the infamous purple dragon will return to save us wonderful Europeans from the lack of classic Spyro. From next Tuesday, 12th December, European PS3 owners will be able to purchase Spyro The Dragon, Spyro: Escape from Glimmer and Spyro: Year of the Dragon from PSN’s PS One Classics. The source doesn’t mention whether or not they will be available for PS Vita from the 12th too, but it is to be expected.

Before we head off, here’s a sweet piece of fan art made byAlexPSN89 which may describe some fans’ frustration for this to take so long…
